OK, so I’m sitting at home watching TV and a Wal-Mart commercial comes on. Nothing extraordinary about that, but what was interesting was that the commercial was filmed at my old high school. It was featured in a couple of movies for interior shots, but the commercial had a lot of exterior shots. It’s nice to see that the campus has been cleaned up a bit. I hope that the students are able to keep it looking nice.

Stumbling around the web for something else, I found a little piece of telephony trivia – Why Telephones Use Negative Forty-Eight Volts DC.
Katie has always been a little, uhm, aggravated by the number of people the drive at high speed down our street. I just found some radar guns on eBay for about $75.00. That is cool and Katie or I can sit on the porch and radar gun people, but ti would be really cool to get license plates and speeds recorded on film so that we could drop it off at city hall and maybe get them to do something about it. Time for the homemade traffic speed camera…

I came across this on Boing Boing – there is a Fiberglass Mascots group at Flickr. How cool is that?!
I heard about it on the radio and then I found this story online. This is the story of a guy who, uh, dropped his iPod in the toilet by accident and the outcome. It’s a funny story, but it highlights the increased fear that we all have because of terrorism.
